I had some leftover paint and time after my larger mural, and @tetia1177 hooked me up with this space on the @habitatforhumanity property in Lafayette Indiana for @wabashwalls produced by @tippecanoearts ✨⚡️✨ Thank you all for having me and allowing me to paint in this tight knit neighborhood ❤️

I made the drawing for this piece before we knew Covid hit the United States. I had been working from home for a couple years now, and was interested in depicting the experience of working in an intimate studio setting. @katie__batten and I had just moved to Illinois and I was in love with the alone time in the studio, and the relaxed nature of waking up and getting straight to work, still in sweatpants and only a few feet away a fridge filled with iced coffee. Actually, this is the first time in a very long time that I have something close to a routine, wake up, coffee, dishes, breakfast, bike ride (optional), and then work. So while we’ve definitely been affected by Covid, I was uniquely fortunate to not have much of a work/life upheaval. I’ve tried to make use of quarantine by focusing on my attitude too, trying to stay positive and making sure I’m taking care of myself but also the people around me. So I guess while Covid sucks, I’ve been trying to use this quarantine to really hash out a schedule, plan for the future to the best of my ability, and appreciate the small things like sunlight flooding the living room, or knowing that my partner is working right next to me. ☕️ ☀️ 👩🏻‍💻🎨
